This year our event will feature keynote speaker Jay Williams, President and CEO of the Hartford Foundation, and the former Mayor of Youngstown. Our annual fundraising gala is an exciting occasion for URC, the people we serve, supporters, and friends to celebrate our shared mission of supporting returning citizens in our communities.
Each year, an average of 800+ people are released from incarceration in the Mahoning Valley. As individuals return to their communities, even after a short period of incarceration, they face the challenge of identifying housing, employment, education, family reunification, social supports, and medical care. URC exists to fill the gap between these needs and the resources available to support our communities.
